Creating Better Habits

Do you think creative habits are hard to establish? Most likely you already have some. Like a daily meditation, visualization practice, affirmations, nature walks, listening the music, or even drinking coffee or working out at the gym.

January is the month of creativity and a great time to set some new positive habits. Not only to improve your life, wellbeing and overall happiness but to bolster your creative output. I'll be creating daily here with you and writing a new blog post for 30 days in a row.

Here are a few tips to help you establish creative habits (my take on it).

Make time for creativity (daily at noon):

Set aside dedicated time in your schedule to focus on creative activities. It could be a specific time each day or a block of time each week.

Set goals (write & publish at least once daily for 30 days):

Having specific goals in mind can help you stay motivated and focused on your creative pursuits. For example, you might set a goal to complete a painting or write a certain number of pages each week.

Find a creative space (writing desk):

Having a dedicated space for creative work can help you get into the right mindset for creative thinking. It could be a separate room or just a corner of your home that you can call your own.

Be consistent (even small things count):

Consistency is key when it comes to establishing any habit. Try to engage in creative activities at the same time each day or week to help them become a regular part of your routine.

Don't be too hard on yourself (the more times you create the better):

Creativity is not about perfection, so don't worry about making mistakes or producing something that is not perfect. The important thing is to keep creating and have fun in the process. Even on a hard day, allow yourself to create something, and start fresh on the next day. And this too shall pass...

Conclusion

It can be challenging to establish creative habits, but it is definitely possible. It may take some time and effort to develop a regular creative routine, but with practice, you will find that it becomes easier to tap into your creativity and use it to achieve your dreams.

I hope this information is useful, I've committed to practice this creative writing everyday for the month of January. I hope you like it and if there's anything you'd like to learn next, let me know here 😊
